<![CDATA[Society of American Military Engineers Plan Golf Outing, Networking Opportunity for Local Business Owners and Professionals]]>Thu, 18 Jun 2015 12:50:15 GMThttp://samedetroit.com/news/society-of-american-military-engineers-plan-golf-outing-networking-opportunity-for-local-business-owners-and-professionalsThe Society of American Military Engineers’ (SAME) Detroit Post will be holding their annual golf outing on July 30th from 8:30AM to 2PM at the Links of Novi golf course. Proceeds of the event will support SAME Detroit Education Scholarships.

“This is a great opportunity for the civil engineering, architecture, construction, and government contracting communities,” remarked Tricia Muxlow, President of the SAME Detroit Post and Muxlow Surveying and Engineering. “We hope to grow our Post’s resources to support more local students, while also providing a valuable networking opportunity for engineers and other professionals in Southeast Michigan.”

The SAME Detroit Post is part of a larger, national organization that serves as a professional military engineering association that unites architecture, engineering, construction (A/E/C), facility management and environmental entities and individuals in the public and private sectors. Their primary goals and objectives are to contribute to and prepare for natural and manmade disasters, and to improve security at home and abroad. The SAME Detroit Post’s members regularly contribute to this mission and goal.

“Our members include representatives from the federal government, State of Michigan, Fortune 500 companies, and a lot of small to mid-size engineering and construction firms,” said Muxlow. “This event, our membership, and our organization serve a purpose that betters the State and Great Lakes Region’s infrastructure networks, safety and resiliency.”

Interested individuals and firms wanting to attend the golf outing can register online by visiting www.samedetroit.com. For questions or comments on the event or the Society of American Military Engineers, please email same.detroit@gmail.com
